Since opening for business in 1965, Civic Guides has established itself as a valuable community-messaging medium. Steeped in tradition and brimming with old-world charm, the boards to this day have remained as an important geographical local presence within hard-to-reach areas and with hard-to-reach audiences.
In partnership with local businesses, Civic Guides boards are a ‘go-to’ guide of the local area. With a comprehensive map of the surrounds and a physical offline presence for businesses to have a local voice, particularly with a travelling audience, Civic Guides are just as valuable and relevant as they were in 1965.
In 2014, Civic Guides was acquired by the Whitford Family who not only value the tradition and history of the guides but saw the opportunity to provide a more engaging medium through the introduction of new technologies.
